As soon as the first of the uncouth giants, the dragons, the moss-people and the witches had reached the centre of the milky ocean, and when they had driven the celestial cloud-cows near and thus had fulfilled their duty, the luminous rime-giants assembled there aimed at them with their silvery bows, ingeniously wrought from the froth, and sent the golden arrows of happiness to them, filled with nectar.

No sooner had these lustrous miraculous messengers touched the monsters than they turned into magnificent, embellished wise giants and alfs, inebriated with the milk of bliss; on golden-silvery waves they floated towards the wonder-working giants and alfs and joined their holy doings.
