For that purpose the gods, the giants, and man have to apply the qualities of omnipotence, of omniscience and of unbounded delight which are inherent in the streams of cognition, to the world-ocean too.
We call this technique the skilled handling of the forces of nature.

“In the human mind, the mastery over nature requires the unity of the gods' and the giants' forces.
The alfs' forces alone are not sufficient but they are the shining masters of that art which one has to apply when handling the almighty forces of nature, in order to travel through the billowing waves of the world-ocean successfully, and to that end the wise alfs serve the gods, giants and man with their prudent advice.

“The ignorant only know the shadow-like, limited effects of this rule which is brought from unity-consciousness into cosmic unfoldment so artfully with the skills of the alfs and so powerfully with divine power, gigantic force and human courage.
The uneducated knows only the small luminosity of his thought-world which from his little developed consciousness lights like a small crescent moon into the world of his thinking.

“Thus he experiences only the waves of the world-ocean, violently driven by storms, as we have experienced them too before we reached this island.

But he has completely lost sight of the fact that by nature man is created to build his life on the dual fullness of cosmic perfection - that it is the privilege of man to combine within himself the infinite world of delight of the gods and the unbounded world of joy of the giants, and to create in this manner his own world of man, all-knowing and almighty as well as full of the highest bliss.
